What You Need To Know
About The Second Job Interview

The following tips for a second job interview will help you stand out.

Emphasize the positive:

Never be negative in an interview.

It does not matter how much you hate your current boss/company/job never let this show in an interview.

If you do, the interviewer may take this as a red flag about your attitude.

Instead talk about difficult situations as learning experiences.

Salary negotiations:

It is best not to discuss salary unless the interviewer brings it up. The likelihood that salary comes up in second interview is quite high.

Be prepared by knowing what the average salary is for your position.

Remember do not try to negotiate until you have an offer on the table!

Feel good about yourself each time you get that call for a second interview -you are one step closer to finding your perfect job!

Write a thank you letter within 48 hours of the interview.

Re-emphasize your strengths, and provide the interviewer with any other details you may have forgotten to mention during the interview.

Be professional and stress your interest in the position.
