Why Personality Tests?

Because it all begins with your personality

Why do you need personality tests? The first priority in searching for a job is to understand yourself and what kind of work/career fits best with your personality. This is best done through career personality tests.

You need to start with a personal assessment. This may sound like a lot of time and energy when you already know you want to be a sales person. However, knowing yourself first is the only way to insure you pick the right career path.

You can simply start your personality testing by answering these questions:

What do you like to do? What are your personal interests? What are your skills and accomplishments to date? What is your personality style? Introverted? Extroverted? Analytical?

Be honest with yourself but also be kind. You may not yet have the skill set to be a manager. However, that does not mean that is in unachievable - it just will take a bit more skill development. Remember, if being a manager is your ultimate goal, make sure to choose a company that will allow you to reach this goal in a timely manner.

Identify what you have enjoyed and not enjoyed in past jobs:

Being technically or functionally competent/expert Practicing your profession Autonomy Job security Being challenged, Suitable hours Independent work Teamwork Travel or lack of Being boss Ability to move up Industry Salary Benefits What else???

Identify your skill set. Are you average, above average or below average on these skills?
