My First Ever Interview- in a hotel room!!

by tina
(denver)

I just graduated from university and was extremely excited to get my first interview for a sales position. I was told to meet the interviewer at a hotel. I was sure that I would be meeting the person in a meeting room or in the restaurant. When I arrived at the hotel I was told to go to room 123. I knocked on the door and a middle-aged man greeted me. He invited me into this tiny bedroom. The interview took place with the man sitting on the bed (there was only 1 chair in the room, which he graciously offered to me). Although nothing improper happened I was so uncomfortable that I am sure that I stuttered through the whole interview!! I was not called back for a second interview- but who cares. I didn't want to work for a company that couldn't afford to book a meeting room for interviews!
