This functional resume sample will give you an idea of how to properly write a functional resume.

As mentioned in the functional resume information information page, a function resume will highlight your skills. Most people that use this type of resume are applying to a position where they do not have direct experience or when there are gaps in their work experience. What they are trying to do is present their ‘transferable skills” in a way that is pertinent to the employer.
